- Young couple backpackers in distinct personalities
- Moving by bike across several countries
- Nice shot equipment and Post-production in high quality
The team is running by a young couple with distinct personalities: ShawnGo(翔走哥), older, tall, thin, serious and mature, mainly responsible for technical operations, such as planning trips, locomotives related, etc.; Zoebitalk(肉比頭), has a round face, fit body-shape, confident, energetic, communicative, with super-sweet smiles, rich expression, her voice is also very lively, so cute. Of course, the two are couples working together in a tacit understanding, and the boundaries of the division of labour are blurred but very efficient. Both of them fancy travelling, but their points of interest are slightly different. Zoe prefers human landscapes, while Shawn prefers natural scenery. The travel records of the two people are professional but also intriguing. The interactions and conversations between the couples are of daily life and full of fun, such as when they half-eaten a meal, they swap plates with each other.
Their main travelling vehicle in overseas is motorcycles. like the series in Southeast Asia part, they bought a second-hand motorcycle in Hanoi, Vietnam, then they rode it travelling Laos, Cambodia and finally returned to Vietnam. There are many advantages to motorcycles to serve as a travelling vehicle. First of all, motorcycles are the most commonly used transportation in the Southeast Asia area. It’s cheap, flexible and can adapt to various terrains. In the process of video shooting, with no glass on between, they can make videos along the road and adjust the angle freely. You can also enjoy the beautiful scenery around whenever you wanna stop. Crossing streets and alleys of towns, villages, and countryside, the bike take you to an authentic in-depth tour.
The editing and post-production of the team’s videos did a great job as well, with all sorts of clip in, but not lagging. Zoe’s lively and highly condensed narration encapsulates the essence of every piece of journey and attractions, and at the same time intersperses with plenty of practical travel suggestions between, so that the audience can also get the necessary knowledge of travelling and judge whether the attractions are worth a visit for themselves. The team is constantly updating the equipment during the filming, like from a first selfie stick with their camera and then drone added, which provides more angles of view, and the quality of the picture can be up to 4K.
I also pretty look forward to the following works of the team. According to the plan they described in their previous video, their next oversea backpacker trip on a bike will start in India, and then will arrive Thailand tho Myanmar, then will go down to Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia to Australia by ferry…I can imagine how tough but also romantic the trip will be. Exploring unknown road on the map is a fascinating thing ever.
